ABOUT EMPIRE BAY

Empire Bay (postcode 2257) is a village situated on Cockle Creek in the Central Coast Council Local Government Area of the NSW Central Coast, approximately 89 Km from the Sydney CBD. Empire Bay is in the Federal electorate of Robertson. In the 2011 census, the population of Empire Bay was 2,274 with 84.1% of people living in Empire Bay being born in Australia, 4.7% hailed from England while 1.6% came from New Zealand. The average age of the people in Empire Bay is 41. Empire Bay is just a 10 minute drive to magnificent, ocean beaches and a 13 minute drive from the major shopping centres of Umina, Woy Woy and Kincumber.

The Empire Bay Progress Association Inc. is a non profit organisation that aims to interact with local community groups and organisations in the area to provide an inclusive service to the residents. We are responsible for maintaining the Progress Hall which is owned by the community. It is used for various activities on a permanent basis, mainly on weekdays, and is available for casual bookings at other times.

We sponsor and facilitate four, major annual events, namely the Anzac Day and Remembrance Day commemorations, the Village Fair, usually held in October, and Christmas Eve at the Hall.  All nearby villages are invited to attend these events.  More are being planned by the new Committee so 'watch this space'.

Rates for Casual Bookings

$ 25.00 p/h for bookings ending @ 6:00 PM

$ 30.00 p/h for bookings starting from 6:00 PM

$20.00 for hiring our BBQ .  4 burner Hot Plate 

Conditions for Casual Bookings

We require all Hall hirers to clean up.  This includes putting crockery and cutlery away after washing them up and emptying all bins into the appropriate collection bins.  All tables and chairs need to cleaned and put back where they were found.  The hall should to be swept out.  If the BBQ is used, it must be cleaned and placed back in the shed where it is stored.

* Note: A cleaning fee of $50 p/h will apply if the Hall is not left as it was when you arrived *

** A refundable security deposit of $300 is required with every booking. These fees are to be paid via Direct Deposit by the Tuesday before the weekend of your booking and are refunded to your bank account via a Direct Credit, after inspection of premises , unless the Hall is left in an unacceptable condition after your hire **

*** We do not cater to teenage / young adult parties up to the age of 25 ***

**** Hall hire is at the discretion of the Progress Association ***

Join Us

All residents of Empire Bay are welcome to join the Empire Bay Progress Association (EBPA). We are always happy to receive new ideas and we value enthusiasm from members and volunteers, new and old.  Membership is only $2 pa and entities you to vote on any matters put before the bi-monthly ordinary meetings that are held on the 3rd Tuesday of February, April, June, AugustOctober and December commencing at 7.30 pm in the Progress Hall.
